Prints featuring Gilles Villeneuve and Jacques Villeneuve

Gilles Villeneuve raced for Ferrari from 1977 to 1982 when he tragically lost his life during qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix, made worse, as the 1982 Ferrai was the best car on the grid and he would most likely have won the championship. Gilles was a gentleman racer of the old school, following team orders to the letter in 1978 when Scheckter won the Championship. There were a number of races where he was faster but did not overtake and therefore finished runner-up in for the title. Gilles was a huge talent and adored by fans worldwide for his raw racing ability and never say die attitude.

Jacques Villeneuve was very much his fathers son, an absolute racer with natural talent and raw speed. He had already won the Indycar Championship when he came to Formula 1, and showed his talent immediately with pole position in his first grand prix and won the World Championship in his second year at Williams in 1997. He was one of just two drivers (the other being Mika Hakkinen) that was able to race wheel to wheel with Schumacher and come out on top in the late 1990's. Many believe that he lost his way in F1 when he turned down a McLaren drive in favour of the BAR team, bearing in mind that the Adrian Newey designed McLaren won back to back championships in '98 and '99 in the hands of Hakkinen, and fans missed out on the continued rivalry between himself and Schumacher.
